Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her very first tryout. Felix completed high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her events.
